Living In Tbilisi
The cost of living in Tbilisi is low, with an average cost including everything, from renting an independent apartment to phone bills, of $500-$600 a month.
​
Tbilisi is rather safe, and the entire city is well-connected by public transport, students can get a pass for under $5 for the month. As a student, Georgian law mandates that you are covered by Medical insurance which can be basic to full coverage, keeping medicine prices low and hospital visits cheap.

FAQs
Are the universities widely recognized?
Most of the universities in Georgia hold multiple recognitions including the World Health Organization(WHO), Europeans Doctors Association(EDU) among others.
What requirements do I have to meet?
3 Cs in A levels (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
What is the fee structure?
It’s $4000 a semester, 2 semesters per year at TSMU. A compulsory 700 AED yearly medical insurance plan for enrollment.Ivane Javashvilli sits at $4000 a semester, with a years total of $8000 + insurance (any medical insurance, cost can be about 500 AED annually)
When can I enroll?
After a month or so of your application being submitted (the time varies depending on time of the year) you will participate in an interview, after which the university will await your report card. You should receive your invitation letter within a couple of weeks from your marks release date.
What kind of questions will I be asked for my interview with TSMU?
You will be asked to introduce yourself and following that, 5 questions: -Where you studied -Why you chose TSMU -Why you chose medicine -What do you intend to do in the future and why.
Will I be assisted in my Visa process?
Students who opt for our assisted package or any package higher than that will be able to rely on our team in Georgia to aid them throughout the entire process. With the base package we give a walkthrough on the procedure, but it's largely dependent on the student.
How is the quality of education?
The faculty at the universities are highly experienced, with elitus professors having over 45 years of experience in teaching and their field. The syllabus is large and comprehensive with real life clinical skills beginning in year 2 after which students can begin to adapt to the hospital environment. Being government institutions, both the universities have plenty of residency opportunities in its many hospitals and clinics across the city.
How much does it cost to rent a 1 BHK?
$400-600, it’s a smart choice to get a roommate
How much do the utilities cost?
Around 60 AED in summer and 120 in the winter due to the heater being used.
Is Tbilisi safe?
No country is as safe as the UAE, we often take the ability to walk alone in the street at 4 AM without a care for granted. Tbilisi is safe, it has a very low crime rate compared to other study destinations,like India or Pakistan. Of course as a non-islamic country, public drinking is allowed so it should be kept in mind to stick to main roads and not to wander late at night.
Can my parents come with me?
Plenty of students travel with their parents to aid in the process of settling down. Our family package takes care of everything you and your family will need to get you ready to start studying medicine.
What do I need to do from here?
You need to fill in an application with us, choose a package and sign a contract with us. We will get you in contact with our team in Georgia who will keep you in the loop of your entire enrollment process, they will set up your E- interview for which you must show up, and following that you must promptly send in your marks (no need to wait for the report card) after which you just have to wait for your invitation letter before booking your flight to Tbilisi.
